Linford Park
Following the removal of the play equipment from Linford Recreation park, The forum have made plans for new equipment to be installed. After a written consultation with the local children tenders were sought and the plan that most suited the childrens wishes was adopted at a cost of £30,000. Thurrock council have agreed to purchase the equipment (no VAT) and maintain it.
To date Veolia Mardyke trust have agreed to fund £25,000 for the project the forum are adding £1,600 to this to alow the main area installation to go ahead. Further funding is being sought to upgrade the "toddler" play area. A graphic plan of the proposed plat area is below:
